Cashier

June 2019 • Miami Lakes, FL

What I liked

I liked to get to know the costumers and their drinks, I can safely say I remember about more than 50 costumers and for the lost part, their drinks.

What I wish was different

Maybe the management we currently have. We have switched managers about 4 times since I have been hired and since they are all different the management styles were also different which was messy.

Advice

Starbucks is a very attentive company and they attend to employees needs very often with great efforts, but maybe being more selective with the managers they assign to every store will benefit everyone in an even higher way.

Partner

May 2017 - September 2020 • Fairfax, VA

What I liked

The benefits were pretty good (Free Spotify Premium, health insurance, free therapy sessions, partner discount, weekly mark-out, free food/drinks on the job, etc).

What I wish was different

Some customers are quite disrespectful to employees, and some coworkers are hard to get along with. Also, the starting pay is different for each district which is undesirable when transferring locations.

Advice

Come into work with a positive attitude and just remember that you are making money every hour that you are working.

It helps with time management and multitasking. Gives multiple future job opportunities, because when you are a barista, at my store at least, I was on register, cleaning, brewing, and the espresso bars.
