Shift Supervisor

March 2016 • Lacey, WA

What I liked

It is a great company to work for overall. Wonderful benefits such as extensive health care options, dental and the opportunity to attend ASU with student assistance on tuition.

What I wish was different

Starbucks can be a great experience or it can be really hard for people. The big difference in leadership. I have worked at several different locations but my most recent has had a large number of problems with the current store manager.

Advice

Learn about the store that you would want to work at before you sign on. There a lots of options of places to go but if you take the time to find one that matches with you then you will have a great time.

June - August 2018 • Los Angeles, CA

What I liked

Good working environment, and a good corporate culture made working in a very fast paced workplace much more tolerable.

What I wish was different

Wish some of the formality of it was a little bit less evident.

Advice

Make sure you can stay focused for a whole shift, because you really cannot afford to phone-it-in because someone will be, rightfully, on your case about it. And make sure you can take some serious trouble from customers, so have thick skin.
