Technical Marketing Engineering Co-op

Job title: Technical Marketing Engineering Co-op (TME)

(Virtual / Remote opportunities available)

Summary/Objective:  As a member of the Marketing and Product Management teams, the TME Co-op will support cross-functional teams across multiple departments to ensure that the products that we bring to market are successful in multiple customer engagements and applications. The TME Co-op must clearly articulate the technical differentiators of Samtec product and solutions via internal sales trainings and customers, distributors and partners presentations.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
1.    Develop and/or provide key technical content as needed for Samtec marketing collateral including application design guides, product catalogs, product presentations, product briefs, etc.
2.    Create content as needed to support Samtec digital marketing initiatives (blogs, social media, eNewsletters, etc.).
3.    Support product launch activities and assist with Tradeshows, Conferences and Technical Sales Training or Distributor Training activities as needed
4.    Respond to customer and/or sales inquiries and work with a cross-functional team of PMs, FSEs, AEs, FAEs and Engineers as required.

Required Experience:
1.    Technical agility and the ability to learn and master new concepts and technologies quickly.
2.    Highly organized, detail-oriented and possessing a high level of integrity.
3.    Team player that works well in collaborative situations and ever-changing environments.
4.    Interested in the fields of Sales and Marketing

Preferred Experience:
1.    Prior understanding of technical marketing trends in one or more key Samtec technologies: Signal Integrity, Optics, Advanced Interconnect, High Speed Cable and Cable Assemblies, IC Package and Assembly, Standards, etc.
2.    Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of urgency. Must be resourceful, proactive and aggressive.
3.    Strong technical, excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

Required Education
1.    Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (EE/EET, ME/MET, etc.)
2.    Experience can be substituted in place of educational requirements.

Training required
1.    On the job training as appropriate.
