Visitation Coordinator - Support Youth and Families

The Visitation Coordinator serves as a liaison between San Francisco Children and Family Services Department and Seneca Family of Agencies with setting up and scheduling visits, and documentation of coordination. Seneca is committed to hiring and maintaining a culturally, ethnically, and linguistically diverse workforce that is reflective of the local client/student community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the orientation of families to the visitation center and the procedures for visits prior to the initial visitation.
  • Assist in setting up a visitation plan with each family utilizing the center.
  • Assist in setting visitation schedules for families and observe and assist visitation monitors.
  • Assist in program data collection and in entering data into the computer system.
  • Review and sign observation reports; keep Child Welfare Worker informed of progress and problems.
  • Maintain appropriate channel of communication with the Department of Family and Children’s Services, CASAs, attorneys, the courts and other concerned parties in order to have effective and efficient service delivery through collaboration.
  • Attend and assist with initial and on-going training for staff utilizing a team approach in skills building for working with at-risk clients; keep training schedule and records for all staff and volunteers ensuring training compliance.
  • Assist with special events/projects that enhance the operations of the visitation center.
  • Support and enhance staff’s ability to perform their jobs by teaching and modeling technical knowledge and skills, work management and communication skills and conflict management skills.
  • Track and monitor the progress of families and individuals receiving services; collect and apply data to improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills a plus! 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience and interest in working with children and families.
  • Valid California driver's license and insurability through Seneca's automobile policy.
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal requirements.

Schedule

  • Full Time 
  • Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
