Program Assistant - Work for a Non-Profit!

The Program Assistant in the Data, Evaluation and Strategic Initiatives (DESI) department supports department-wide administrative needs and contributes to the coordination and completion of projects designed to support Seneca's mission, including development and enhancement of agency programs and research and evaluation practices. The Program Assistant will gain experience and insight in the fields of grant writing, policy, research, and program evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete or manage tasks to support department-wide needs including: office supply ordering, scheduling, administrative support, meeting coordination, facility needs, hiring coordination, and other duties as assigned.
  • Support DESI team leadership with the planning and implementation of relevant team trainings, meetings, or events.
  • Monitor and identify opportunities for funding and program development for the agency.
  • Assist in compiling agency proposals and developing proposal components as assigned in response to requests for proposals from public agencies and private foundations.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of program evaluation and other research projects as assigned.
  • Support the workflow of project teams designated to complete county, state, and federal proposals or data-related projects.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of strategies to communicate the vision and achievements of the agency. 
  • Assist in the completion of special projects, as assigned.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials. 
  • Represent Seneca in external meetings on matters of policy and practice, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Valid California driver's licenses and insurance
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday; Full-time
