Mechanical / Industrial Test Engineering Intern
As a member of the Operations Engineering team, you will be supporting both Test and Manufacturing engineers to develop the quality of test system for product refurbishment at our supplier’s facilities. You are going to purchase components, build, install, test, and validate our new test systems before deploying to different production facilities. This position will also support the data tracking, data review as well as the quality assurance activities for engineers. This is a technical internship position designed to provide qualified students an opportunity to learn valuable knowledge in a hands-on manner, working with Test/Manufacturing engineers to learn and participate in a variety of processes. The key job responsibilities are following:
Responsibilities:
Test Engineering support:
· Support Test engineer to order and track the materials order status for new test system set up
· Support Test engineer to install, validate and test the new test system before deployment.
· Support Test engineer to document the test result, prepare and document the SOP
· Support Test engineer to resolve the test issue.
· Run test report by weekly/monthly basis, analyze the test report and then provide the metrics for product test quality improvement.
Manufacturing engineering support:
· Packaging data (PKG) review and approval for product packaging change .
· R-grade refurbishment Smartsheet maintenance and tracking.
· QA activity support.
Qualifications:
· Sophomore or Junior, major in Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering , Industrial Engineering, CE, CSE, EE or equivalent
· Basic knowledge for software in Python, XML or database.
· Good skills of using Excel, power point and Word
· Self-motivation and detailed oriented.
· Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, planning and organization skills
· The weight lifting for this job is required.
· The travel may require to Los Angeles. (same day trip)
