Mechanical Engineering Intern
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the mechanical engineering department in a variety of design and testing tasks associated with the Wave Glider and its payloads.
The internship will last 10-12 weeks.
Job Duties include:
- Design and test float mounted assembly that works with Rapid Stand
- Mechanical design support for sub-modem integration project
- Rapid stand testing and design improvements
- Winch winder design
Skills/Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program
- Experience with CAD and working in a machine shop
- Great communication skills
- Ability and eagerness to take direction and persist when faced with difficult design challenges
