About United States Army Career Division - New Jersey & Greater Philadelphia

The US Army is the primary force for defending America from our adversaries. We offer both full-time (Active Duty) and part-time (Army Reserve) opportunities for both Enlisted and Officer positions in more than 150 career specialties from Combat Arms, Cyber Security, Military Intelligence, Law Enforcement, Medical, Administration, and more.

Our Active Duty positions offer competitive pay and benefits that are second to none. Our health benefits package includes free (no premiums, copays, or deductibles) medical, dental, and vision for you and free medical and low cost dental for your dependents. You'll receive 30 days of paid vacation per year that starts accruing on day one and at least 10 4-day holiday weekends per year (with some assignments giving up to 14). We also have the best retirement plan around with up to 5% of your pay matched to your retirement account and, if you serve more than 20 years, a 2% per year pension (40% of your base pay at 20 years) for the rest of your life.

In the Army Reserves, you can gain valuable skills and experience that will separate you in your civilian career and educational assistance for only one weekend a month and two weeks a year, even while attending college full-time. All government employers (local, state, and federal) and most private employers give preferential hiring to current or former Army Soldiers because of the training and experience you receive in the Army. Also, in addition to your Reserve Pay, you can get $13,000-25,000 total in the Selective Reserve GI Bill, $4,000 per year in Tuition Assistance, up to $50,000 in Student Loan Reimbursement, and college credit for your Army training toward electives. Taking advantage of the Army Reserve while going to college can help you improve your job prospects after college and graduate debt free, freeing up money for important wealth building investments like retirement savings and purchasing a home.
