About Office of State Representative Brian Sims

Representative Brian Sims is a distinguished policy attorney and civil rights advocate from Center City Philadelphia. A third-term member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Sims became the first out LGBT member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly when he was elected in 2011.

As a state legislator, Representative Sims represents the neighborhoods of Pennsylvania's 182nd District, which includes part or all of: Rittenhouse, Fitler Square, Logan Square, Midtown/Gayborhood, Washington Square West, Bella Vista, Hawthorne, Fairmount, Queen Village, East Passyunk, Spring Garden and Market East.

At the district office, we help constituents through walk-in appointments, phone calls, emails, and other means to help with issues related to state programs, policy inquiries, or general concerns.
