Baptist Health Care is a not-for-profit health care organization based in northwest Florida that is committed to helping people throughout life's journey. A proud member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Baptist continuously strives to be a national leader in quality and service. Baptist Health Care is one of the largest non-governmental employers in northwest Florida. It is not affiliated with any other health care system.
Baptist Health Care includes three hospitals, four medical parks, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, a large network of primary care and specialty physicians, and the area’s first combined emergency room/urgent care clinic.
Located in downtown Pensacola, Baptist Hospital is the organization’s flagship facility. It is licensed for 492 beds and offers a wide range of services, from audiology to women’s health. Specialized care programs include world-class cardiovascular services at Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute, a Level II trauma center, designated stroke center, designated head and spinal cord program, and oncology services provided through the Baptist Cancer Institute.
Completing the trio of Baptist Health Care hospitals are Gulf Breeze and Jay hospitals. Gulf Breeze Hospital is a med-surg facility located across Pensacola Bay in the community of Gulf Breeze, Florida. Licensed for 77 beds, Gulf Breeze Hospital shares a campus with the world-renowned Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine. Jay Hospital is located in the rural community of Jay, Florida. It is licensed for 49 beds.
Construction is underway on the new Baptist Health Care campus located at I-110 and Brent Lane in Pensacola. This new campus promises to transform the way health care is delivered in northwest Florida. It will include a 10-story hospital and a 6-story multispecialty health center situated amid a parklike setting that will provide a calm, nurturing environment for healing. Construction will be completed in 2023.
